Meditation on Sun Orb Above You

While looking into the works of mystic teacher Andrew Harvey, I came across this very inspiring meditation, and recommend you check it out for yourself. Andrew focuses on the bliss and joy of mysticism. The appeal of the ancient Hindu practice he demonstrates here is that it starts with the visualization the Sun as your personal Star - the Supreme Consciousness.

It leads you to concentratie on the “pulsing golden Sun” right above your head, and you envisage a liquid golden light streaming from this Sun through the top of your head, which turns your brain to gold. You will notice that, although he mentions chakras, he does not follow the conventional colouring system allocated to them. This might be different to other 'chakra meditations' you have undertaken – it may open your inner eye to a new perspective!
