In recent times a number of new facts have been revealed about what lies beneath our feet, inside the Earth. Three months ago we found out that there is a huge reservoir of water, similar to the volume of water that exists in all our oceans, 1000 km below the planet’s surface[i]. (The Rosetta mission had already disproved the theory that water was brought to Earth by comets – but we already knew that theory didn’t hold water, didn’t we?)  A year ago we were told about a huge source of oxygen deep underground that even affects our weather[ii] and just this week scientists have mapped a huge reservoir of molten carbon spanning 695,000 square miles that is more than 200 miles underneath the western USA[iii]. The scientific community has, until now, led us to believe that they were quite sure what the inside of our planet looks like, but now that seems to not really be the case.
            This week, Ancient-Code.com leads with the headline: “Is there a slight possibility that there is an inner Sun, Inner World and lost civilization inside of Earth? In recent decades, a number of findings have been made that drastically alter the views on the Inner Earth theory.”[iv]
            They go on to cite the evidence recorded by Admiral Byrd, books like Worlds Beyond the Poles by Amadeo Giannini and the writings of Ray Palmer. To quote them further:
“The Macuxi Indians are indigenous people who live in the Amazon, in countries such as Brazil, Guyana, and Venezuela. According to their legends, they are the descendants of the Sun’s children, the creator of Fire and disease and the protectors of the ‘inner Earth.’ Their oral legends speak of an entrance into Earth. Until the year 1907, the Macuxies would enter some sort of cavern, and travel from 13 to 15 days until they reached the interior. It is there, ‘at the other side of the world, in the inner Earth’ is where the Giants live, creatures that have (sic) around 3-4 meters in height.”[v]
            Ancient Code also points out that Plato wrote about the mythical inner world, and Pliny the Elder asserted that the Atlanteans had, after first fleeing to the Himalayas, later gone ‘underground.’ They neglect to mention the 1871 ‘novel’ The Coming Race by Edward Bulwer-Lytton, which many believe to be based on fact, and in which we were introduced to the energy called Vril by a subterranean race – so highly coveted by the Nazis in WWII.
            My mentor on the higher planes is Empedocles, who lived from 495 to 435 BC, right after Pythagoras, and before Plato. For his perspective on the matter, I will quote from the foremost scholarly authority on him, Peter Kingsley:
“This ‘central fire’, as they sometimes called it, was considered by them the key to the alchemical transformation process. According to them it was the real source of light – so much so that they referred to it as the ‘Sun in the earth’, the ‘subterranean’ Sun. On the one hand this ‘earthly’ or ‘invisible Sun’ was the ‘fire of hell’, the ‘black Sun’, the ‘darkness of purgatory’. On the other, as the Sun that ‘rises out of the darkness of the earth’, it was the origin not only of the visible Sun but also the light of the stars. […] the idea is attributed, quite specifically, to Empedocles.”[vi] 
            Empedocles knew that on the higher vibrational plane, there is a Sun at the centre of the Earth, just as the Sun we see in the sky is at the centre of the cosmic bubble called the ‘Heliosphere,’ and at the centre of the force field of every human being is a “Solar Heart.’ Not everything is visible to the human eye.
