One of my favourite books is called The Division of Consciousness (by Peter Novak, 1997). According to Division Theory, a person’s consciousness and unconsciousness split apart upon death. Some mystical societies teach that the Spirit and Soul split apart when we die, and St Paul wrote about the difference of the Spirit and Soul. The Egyptians spoke of the two immaterial spiritual parts of humans: the Ka, which was the person’s double, their unconscious self; and the Ba which is what we call the Soul or their life-force.

Of course, we all have a third part which is our body. But we leave this body (and brain) behind when we die, so what will remain of the self that is a trinity while we are here on Earth? Jesus Christ made it clear that the Father and Spirit were all about redeeming that third part (the “Son”), so that we don’t split apart at death. Just like the Sun and the Earth working together to save humans. The body is animated by what I call the Earth Spirit or, your Earth Star. The message of all the ancient mystics is not to divide, but to unite our parts. If we combine the energy of our bodies – our heart and personality – with our Soul and Spirit, then a new Light body can be born (created) which takes the place of the physical body.

When people tell you that you must let go of your Ego, be careful. The idea is to transmute or transfigure your Ego, not to cut it out and throw it away. To quote from the Gospel of Thomas (22 & 61) “When you make the two one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below… then you will enter the kingdom… If (one) is undivided, he will be filled with light, but if he is divided, he will be filled with darkness.”

Make your inner heart shine so that it is at the centre of your Sphere, powering it, and making it join with the Sphere of the Sun of Righteousness above you.
