According to the Book The Secret of the Golden Flower (Translated by Richard Wilhelm with commentary by Carl Jung), each individual contains a central monad, which, at the moment of conception, splits into Life and Consciousness/Human Nature (which I call Soul and Spirit). To quote from the book:

“In the personal bodily existence of the individual they are represented by two other polarities, a p’o soul (or anima) and a hun soul (animus). All during the life of the individual these two are in conflict, each striving for mastery. At death they separate and go different ways. The anima sinks to earth as kuei, a ghost being. The animus rises and becomes shen, a spirit or god. Shen may in time return to the Tao.

“If the life energy flows downward, that is, without let or hindrance into the outer world, the anima is victorious over the animus; no spirit-body or Golden Flower is developed, and at death the ego is lost. If the life-energy is led through the ‘backward-flowing’ process, that is, conserved, and made to ‘rise’ instead of allowed to dissipate, the animus has been victorious, and the ego persists after death. It then becomes shen, a spirit or god. A man who holds to the way of conservation all through life may reach the stage of the Golden Flower, which then frees the ego from the conflict of opposites, and it again becomes part of the Tao, the undivided great one.”
 
The book explains that to initiate the process of generating our immortal Light Body and unifying the two within us, the Vital Breath must first “stir” and for this, Light is necessary. I believe we should use the Light of the Sun.

According to Eskimo people living in the Arctic, the Sun is no longer rising and setting where it is supposed to, and the day is longer than is used to be - they claim that the Earth has changed its position to the north. Ancient Cuneiform Tablets Predict Solar Flares (CMEs)
A research team led by the University of Tsukuba combined observations from ancient cuneiform tablets that mention unusual red skies with radioisotope data to identify solar storms that likely occurred around 679 to 655 BC, prior to any previously datable events. This work may help modern astronomers predict future solar flares or coronal mass ejections that can damage satellite and terrestrial electronic devices.

Humans have been looking to the skies for as long as we have been around. Some of the observations made by ancient Assyrian and Babylonian astrologers more than two millennia ago survive in the form of cuneiform records. These rectangular clay tablets were messages from professional scholars to kings who had commissioned astronomical observations for the purpose of discerning omens–including comets, meteors, and planetary motions.

Now, a team led by the University of Tsukuba has matched three of these ancient tablets that mention an unusual red glow in the sky with the carbon-14 concentrations in tree rings and demonstrate how they are evidence of solar magnetic storms. These observations were made approximately 2,700 years ago in Babylon and the Assyrian city of Nineveh, both of which are mentioned contemporaneously in the Bible.

Today I watched a short news item on Al Jazeera TV about the Sami people of Lapland. Some skulls which had been taken from their ancestors’ graves in the 1950s have just been returned to them by the Swedish government, and they are also worried about the effects of the melting Arctic snows. Their traditions and way of life - dominated by hunting, fishing and trading - are intimately connected to the Arctic north.

The indigenous Sami people have lived across Norway, Finland, Russia and Sweden in the Lapland region of the Arctic for thousands of years - their existence was documented by such writers as the Roman historian Tacitus. Those neighbouring countries have attempted to assimilate the Sami, levy taxes on them, divide the land they once freely roamed and impose restrictions on movement between borders. Some years ago, conflicts broke out there over the construction of a hydroelectric dam in Lapland.

I am interested on the Sami people’s traditional connection the Sun, which was known to them as beaivi.  In the centre of the Sami shaman or noaidi’s drum is the Sun (beaivi) drawn as a rhomboid with four rays which spread to the sides.  Along the rays spreading outward and surrounding the Sun are the deities which are the personified forces of nature.  In this sense, the Sun symbolizes the central, animating source of the world and those lesser entities are subsidiaries of it.

One of the two main Sami creation epics “The Son of the Sun’s Courting in the Land of the Giants” describes the Son of the Sun making love to his bride and begetting the Gállábártnit, the ancestors of the Sámi.  A passage from the poem describes the Son as father of the people: “On skin of bear and young reindeer doe / Bride is transformed to a Sámi / Becomes a human in size. / And with an axe from her own chest /Her doors become wider / The room made larger. / To the Sun’s sons she gave birth” (Gaski 101)

This is yet another example of how cultures around the globe that were seemingly unconnected over the thousands of years of their history, all developed an understanding that the Sun was the source of creation and life – and it continues to be so.

Our biggest tragedy is the misunderstanding of our own star. This misunderstanding is due to the fundamental defects in the current laws of physics. These defects, however, can never be realized without the realization of the true building blocks of matter.
In physical reality, the Cosmos is in a continuous transformation, nothing is constant, including the solar system where our planet is located. However, the true motion of the Sun in the galaxy is not a circular motion, but exactly like the motion of an electron in an atom. And all indications seem to suggest that the solar system is approaching the highest position in the galaxy, the closest possible position to the galactic core. It is the most energetic region that the Sun can be surrounded with. This dense region is altering the magnetic field of the Sun and the magnetic fields of all the planets of the solar system.

[…] one thing is absolutely certain... the physical reality of the Sun is not understood by astrophysicists and astronomers. Due to this misunderstanding, climate science is currently ruled by politicians and figures with very low intellectual capability.
The misunderstanding of the Sun had and continues to have devastating consequences on our scientific and economic development.
I have been arguing aggressively for many years, that the Sun is misunderstood. I have presented huge material evidence against the current dogma, based on, theoretical notions and particularly on, observational data, which were collected by modern space instruments. Those data refute the most fundamental hypotheses of the standard solar model (The standard solar dogma). Furthermore, I have clearly shown in my arguments that the current model contradicts all the laws of thermodynamics. More importantly, I have stated many times, that I can present the alternative solar model, that has the ability to provide true explanations, to all solar observations and phenomena, including those that are now considered mysteries. On top of all the above, Shrair Solar Model is the correct blueprint to replicate the primary energy source of the Sun.

The use of an apple in allegory has been commented upon by others: long before we had Apple iPhones or the Beatles named their recording company Apple, this was the fruit that my Catholic school told me had been behind the temptation of Adam and Eve, and of course it was an apple that famously fell on Isaac Newton, causing him to think of gravity.

In addition to pondering gravity, anti-gravity and the three laws of motion, Isaac Newton had something to say about the Sun, and God, or the powerful Being he called the Universal Ruler:
“This most beautiful system of the Sun, planets and comets, could only proceed from the counsel and dominion of an intelligent and powerful Being...
This Being governs all things, not as the soul of the world, but as Lord over all; and on account of his dominion he is wont, to be called Lord God παντοκρατωρ or Universal Ruler.”

In previous blogs I have referred to the writings of Harold Boulette and his Solar Wind blog at SpiritSun.net. Here once again I offer an extract from one of his recent posts, with a link to the full text (down below). Harold and I both belong to the Cosolargy organization so our views are well aligned on this topic.

“The second of the great periods of evolution that have been mentioned, the ‘Sun period,’ effects the raising of man’s being to a higher stage of consciousness. … The higher stage which man reaches on the Sun may therefore be characterized in this way: the physical body, already formed in the germ-state on Saturn, is raised to a second stage of perfection by becoming the vehicle of an etheric or vital body. This last-named etheric body attains the first degree of perfection on its own account during Sun evolution. In order, however, that the second degree of perfection... may be reached, the intervention of still other spirit-beings is necessary during the further course of the Sun life.” ~Rudolf Steiner

“Moving to higher states of consciousness is indeed what it is all about. It is what the Pythagoreans were doing. It is what the Essenes were doing. The primary goal of all the mystery schools was to achieve higher states of consciousness. But this is not a form of mental development. Consciousness and intellect are not the same thing. There are people with degrees and very high IQ’s who are still operating at low levels of consciousness. That is because consciousness is more a spiritual thing than a material one. So developing higher states of consciousness means developing our spiritual faculties. And the current Sun Period is the best time to do that.”

On my new Blog site, SouthernSunlight.com, I have posted a story this week about sacred sites and power places, and how many people believe they connect the Earth to the Sun via a kind of invisible ‘umbilical cord.’ This is especially true of Australia’s Uluru (Ayers Rock).

It is noteworthy that the organizers of the annual Cosmic Consciousness Conference also perceive this ‘conduit’ or ‘umbilical’ connection in the heart of the continent, believing Uluru to be the site of Earth’s solar plexus chakra – they envision the next gathering there in 2020 to be an ideal time to “construct a solar umbilical cord from the Earth to the Sun.”

In 2008, NASA may have unwittingly supported the possibility of such an event when it published details of an investigation into FTEs, or flux transfer events, describing how the Earth is linked to the Sun by a network of magnetic portals which open every eight minutes. Such discoveries help to scientifically validate the long-held belief by the New Age community that sacred sites and ancient megalithic structures are places connecting this terrestrial plane with the celestial spheres.

The same article discusses the portals in Bolivia known as the Sun Gate and the Gateway of the Gods. I believe these were established over two thousand year ago by Viracocha.
